About the Artwork

Two women share a sunlit pool, caught at the waterline in this square composition: below the surface their bodies are clear - one seated on the pool steps in a black bikini with pink trim and a sheer pink ruffled wrap, the other standing in pink heart-patterned bikini bottoms - while above it their reflections dissolve into rippling ribbons of pink, white and turquoise. Sunlight patterns the skin and the pale pool floor in bright caustic nets, and the whole scene is worked in glossy, textured strokes. Playful, summery and a little surreal, it suits living rooms, bedrooms and dining spaces with coastal or retro-pool styling, alongside white, aqua and blush accents. Each piece is hand-painted and hand-finished to order, so its ripples and reflections will be subtly unique.
