How It’s Made

Every MioGallery piece begins as a considered design and becomes a physical painting through real materials, skilled hands and a careful studio process.

Designed with digital tools. Painted by hand.

Our design team develops contemporary compositions through creative direction and digital tools, including AI. These tools help us explore color, balance and atmosphere; they do not replace the physical painting process.

A skilled painter then recreates the selected MioGallery design directly on canvas, building its surface one layer at a time with real paint.

From idea to canvas

Each stage has a different purpose, from establishing the visual direction to protecting the finished painting for delivery.

01

Develop the direction

Composition, proportion, color and atmosphere are explored and refined for how the design will work as a physical painting and within a real interior.

02

Prepare the palette

Colors are mixed for the selected composition. The painter considers how neighboring tones, transparency and texture will behave on canvas.

03

Build the painting

The composition develops through successive layers. Brushwork, palette-knife marks and changes in paint thickness create movement and depth.

04

Review the finish

Color balance, composition, edges and surface condition are checked before the painting is prepared for dispatch.

The surface is part of the artwork

A screen can show the composition, but it cannot fully reproduce the way raised paint catches light or how layered color changes across the canvas.

That physical presence—visible brushwork, tactile texture and subtle variation—is why every MioGallery design is realized with paint by hand.

One design, naturally varied by hand

Each piece is individually painted to order from a MioGallery design. A design may be painted more than once; it is not sold as a one-of-a-kind original composition.

Small differences in brushwork, texture, tone and color blending are normal. They are the trace of a human process and give each finished painting its own character.

Checked, protected and sent home

Once the painting has been reviewed, its packaging is selected around the artwork’s size, format, weight and framing. Surfaces, edges and corners are protected before the shipment leaves the studio.
